If you live in Kirkland, you already know: the waterfront is magic. There's something about the way the sun drops over the Olympic Mountains while you're walking along the boardwalk, gelato in hand, kids running ahead of you toward the bronze sculptures — it just feels like home.

We're Kalie and Devon from Filling the Frame Photography, and Kirkland is practically our backyard. Our studio is in Bothell, which means Kirkland is one of the closest cities we serve — we can be at Marina Park in about 10 minutes. We shoot here often, and honestly, we never get tired of it.

Our favorite Kirkland photo spots

Kirkland's waterfront alone could keep us busy for years, but the whole city is full of great locations:

*Marina Park* — Right in the heart of downtown Kirkland, with the lake, the boats, and that golden-hour light bouncing off the water. It's the quintessential Kirkland backdrop.

*Juanita Beach Park* — A little more relaxed and spacious than the downtown waterfront. Great for family sessions where the kids need room to move (and they always need room to move).

*Carillon Point* — Elegant waterfront with a more polished feel. The architecture and landscaping here give engagement and maternity sessions a refined, editorial look.

*Heritage Park* — A hidden gem with a log cabin, open fields, and wooded trails. It has a completely different vibe from the waterfront — rustic, warm, and perfect for fall sessions.

*The Kirkland Waterfront corridor* — The full stretch from Marina Park south through the galleries and shops. We love doing walking sessions here where the whole town becomes the backdrop.

What we do

We photograph weddings, engagements, maternity, newborns, families, seniors, and events. But more than that, we photograph people. The way your partner looks at you when they think no one's watching. The way your toddler scrunches their nose when they laugh. The stuff you want to remember.
