Wallace Retreat
We used to meet our clients in public parks with small windows of time set apart for each photoshoot. It felt rushed and stressful. That just wasn't the vibe we were looking for so we packed up our family and moved to Gold Bar. We have a stunning riverfront chalet with a beach complete with a fire pit for s'mores. We even have an indoor studio if the weather acts up. No time limits. No strangers in the background. Just a stress free photo experience like nothing else offered in the Pacific Northwest.

I am Kalie and I feel so incredibly grateful to be doing what I love! I know how cheesy that sounds, but it couldn't be truer. I love capturing smiles and freezing that moment forever.
I started this business in 2015 when my son was only two. I remember so vividly looking down at him, thinking about all the possibilities his future holds and thinking 'I still have those opportunities too!' I felt so inspired and feel like that was the day I started living more in the moment.
In 2018, I was busy! SO busy!!! I asked my husband, Devon, to quit his job and join me. He is such a creative soul that it brought us in a hole new direction. That's when our business got flipped upside down and we joined the incomparable Teatro ZinZanni!

Biggest source of joy? My family.
Favorite food? Anything Devon makes (seriously, try his sourdough)! I burn Mac n' Cheese so I am forever thankful to have found a partner that shows me love through tasty food.
Who is your hero? Ooooh, this is a hard one. I am lucky to have so many incredible people in my life, but if I have to choose I would say my Grandma. She has encountered so much loss and hate in her lifetime and has always responded in the kindest way possible.
Biggest fear? Time
Favorite activity? Hiking. Living right next to Wallace Falls and near some of my favorite hikes in PNW is one of my favorite things about moving to Gold Bar.
If you could live anywhere, where would it be? Right here. I hope we never move again.
Favorite movie? I'd have to ask Devon since he is the movie guru and I often rewatch movies as if I am seeing them for the first time.
Devon
Biggest source of joy? Sharing my food. I love feeding people.
Favorite food? Ummm, this is really hard. French Onion Soup, no wait, Teriyaki.
Who is your hero? Our son, Henley. He's not afraid to dance. I love that about him.
Biggest fear? Disappointing my family.
